Hi, I'm Judah Veitel

In 1993, at the age of 21, I had an inspired conversation with a Naturopathic Doctor that forever changed my life. Since that time, my life has been dedicated to the study of nutrition, physiology, and health and healing. After having gone through 3 years of standard university education and actively seeking an alternative to the conventional university model I began a mentorship with this doctor through his Health Users Group, in which I was trained in herbalism, nutrition and nutritional supplements, aromatherapy, reflexology and various other alternative approaches to health. During this time of being immersed in my studies I discovered a natural desire to teach and create educational offerings as a way to share what I was learning.

After several years of mentorship I found that it was time to go on and finish my formal degree, so in 2002, I finished my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition through the Union Institute and University, with a focus on Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Anthropology. Upon completion of my degree, I was hired as the National Educator for MegaFood, a top nutritional supplement company. Building on my early desire to teach and create educational programs, I traveled throughout the U.S., training the staff of health food stores on the benefits of the MegaFood product line, and nutritional supplements in general.

In 2006 I was hired as a Clinical Consultant with Biotics Research, a supplement company that only sells to licenced health-care professionals. For this position, I created educational programs for the south-east division of the U.S., and trained chiropractors, naturopaths, osteopaths, and other health care providers, on how to use Biotics Research products in their clinical practice. It was at this time that I was exposed to and began studying Functional Medicine and blood chemistry analysis. I also advanced my understanding of nutrition by completing the American Association of Nutritional Consultants certification, the Metabolic Typing Advisor certification and the Nutritional Therapy Association program. I was now deeply rooted in the understanding of nutrition and Functional Medicine and was able to be a tremendous asset to the practitioners I was working with, especially those who were just beginning their journey into the area of nutritional medicine.

In 2008 I was offered the opportunity to return to MegaFood as their Director of Education and create a new educational department. During my time in this position, I trained new employees, collaborated on formulating new products, and travelled throughout the US and Canada, speaking and teaching on the benefits of MegaFood products. After leaving this position, I continued to create educational material for herbalists in my local area, teaching them how to integrate the fundamentals of herbalism with functional medicine.

More recently, I have taken my background as an educator and Clinical Consultant, and applied it as a clinician. I have worked as the Program Director for Rosa Transformational Health, a Functional Medicine Detoxification Clinic, in which I saw patients one-on-one and taught a series of classes on nutrition, brain and nervous system health, hormones, detoxification and more. Currently, I am the Nutritionist and Education Director for Siskiyou Vital Medicine, a Direct Primary Care Naturopathic Clinic, where I offer nutritional consultations, interpret patient labs, teach stress reduction techniques such as HeartMath, and have spearheaded the clinic to move in the direction of group visits and educational programs. Through this experience, I have been able to expand my understanding of the educational needs of clinicians, nutritionists, and health coaches in regards to understanding the complexities of the root causes of chronic degenerative disease and how to develop effective nutritional protocols that will restore balance to a system out of balance.

My real passion in life is teaching, and I see the need for the upcoming generations of healthcare practitioners to be educated on the principles of Functional Nutritional Medicine so they can achieve the best results possible for those they work with. With the growing incidence and complexity of chronic degenerative diseases in the U.S., the modern clinician typically has not been adequately trained in the interconnectedness of the physiology, the underlying causes of disease and the core areas involved in healing these complex conditions. It is for this reason that I dedicate myself to creating educational materials and courses for health care providers to be better equipped to address the issues so many of their patients are suffering from so we can work together to address the mass epidemic of chronic degenerative disease that we see in this country today.

Thank you for taking an interest in my work, and I hope you gain value through my offerings.
